    Sanctuary now DOES prevent being hit by an AOE spell. (Source: Was Arcane Blasted in PvP a while ago)

    After our testing in PvP, I can concurve Sanctuary does prevent all area spells from the opponent. Thanks upjyb for your feedback

    These things you have to take into consideration when you are talking about spells:
    1. Is the spell used by a Knight or by a Magic Hero.
    2. Is the spell used in co-op or in solo combats.
    3. How many creatures are in the stacks you are fighting against
    4. The spell is used for protection or for faster killing
    There are probably many more motives but these came to my mind just now.

    1. Since a Knight has 2 turns and a Mage has 4, is much more usefull to use Shouts for Knights than Soul Mark for example.
    2. If you doing a co-op fight, it is very important to check the acting line on the bottom right in order to use spells. Not to mention the hero combinations on the battlefield (10 combination)
    3. It also depends on how fast the stacks move speed, their initiative, if it is ranged or melee, if they can fly or not.
    4. Torpor or Blind can be used to prevent an enemy stack to reach you. But it can also disable defend and of course the creature will take 40% more damage so it is more effective than Soul Mark or Inspired Assault.

    My point is you cannot discuss the spells out of the battle context. If you do so, the mislead might overcome the help given and I think that is why no one opened a thread about this.
